Who is Love Drinks?

Love Drinks was established in 2007 to fill a gap in the market for an independent marketing and distribution company representing luxury drinks brands. Love Drinks are an entrepreneurial team of high calibre and passionate individuals who through their exemplary knowledge of the high end drinks market, support the growth of some of the most iconic luxury drinks brands in the UK. We like to think that we’ve earned ourselves the reputation of being an authority in the luxury drinks sector, all of which is driven by our enthusiastic and knowledgeable team of experts. We are also proud to have achieved an accreditation by Investors In People in the recognition of how we value and develop our team. More recently we have been recognised as the only drinks distributor to be named in the 2016 Birthday Honours list with Kirsty Loveday receiving a British Empire Medal for her high Impact in “Services to the Drinks Industry”

Tell us about your Flagship Brands

 

Goslings Black Seal rum is best known for its use in the national drink of Bermuda the trademarked Dark ‘N Stormy cocktail. A bartender’s favourite here in the UK, the Gosling family is now in its 8th generation.

Hayman’s Gin make award-winning English gin the original way, just as they always have. Their ginealogy dates back over 150 years, making them the only family of original English gin makers still distilling today.

The El Dorado Demerara Rums are the only range of rums made from 100% Demerara sugar. Often voted the best in world.  El Dorado uses the world’s only remaining wooden stills and American oak barrels, to create their award-winning range of excellent white and golden rums.

The Portfolio is completed with Abelha Organic Cachaça, The Bitter Truth Range of Bitters and Liqueurs, Einstök Craft Beers, Lanique, Lowlander Craft Beer & Mr Black Cold Press Coffee Liqueur

We are a very young (at heart) and an energetic bunch of passionate individuals all working towards the greater good of communicating the ethos of quality, craft made brands with a rich history or story to tell. We live and breathe by our values of Fun, Informed, Reliable and Entrepreneurial (FIRE) and we actively encourage challenges and changes from within our organisation and people.

Becoming accredited by Investors in People stands us apart from our competition as we really believe in developing and training and retaining our team members as they are the key to our success. We do not let social or corporate norms govern us and strive to find new ways of innovation for not only our brands but our way of working. We truly believe that people buy from people, that coupled with an exemplary and focused portfolio is our recipe for success.

 

What training and development opportunities are offered to employees?

Training and development of our team has been a key focus for the business for the last few years and remains a priority moving forwards. Not only do our team have clear role and responsibilities measured against Key Performance Indicators, which also allow them to self-evaluate and understand how they contribute to the overall company strategy, but we also invest in outside training such as sales, management and negotiation training. Specific individual training and coaching is also identified and offered. We have a lot of experience within our organisation so 121 mentoring and coaching is standard. Most importantly we encourage very honest and open communication ensuring that all great ideas are captured in order to make Love Drinks the best and most successful company it can be providing a happy home for its dedicated team of colleagues.
